Lilian Iheukwumere-Esotu

Lilian is a PhD candidate in the Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering Department at the University of Manchester, U.K. She also works as an Asset Management Consultant with “Binnies, RSK” an Engineering Management Consultancy Company within the UK water sector. Her research project is on using engineering principles and technology to develop a knowledge management framework for managing major industrial maintenance projects. From her PhD work, she has published three articles in reputable journals and presented two conference papers. Her research interest is in knowledge management 4.0, application of reliability engineering tools for improving industrial maintenance projects outcomes and uncertainty management.  She is passionate about creating a gender balance in STEM, which has informed her reason for participating in this edition of Africans in STEM.
